| | Tandem Massage | A four handed Swedish Massage in our Studio
This session is very stimulating and can be quite intense. We offer a 60 minute session.
Advance notice for your Tandem Session appointment is required.
The only way to know what it is all about is to experience a Tandem Massage for yourself!
The feet, the back, and the head, face, and scalp are areas that are not Massaged in Tandem. These areas are done separately by one Therapist, while another area is massaged by the other Therapist at the same time. For example your feet would be massaged at the same time that your back is being massaged. Your arms, legs, gluts, and hands are massaged by both Therapists, one Therapist on each leg, glut, arm, and hand at the same time. It is very difficult to explain the experience and sensation of a Tandem (4 hand) Massage.
We offer a 60 minute Tandem Massage Session, which is equivalent to 2 Hours of Massage, by a single Massage Therapist. |

| | traditional chinese medicine (t.c.m.) | Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient system of health care that takes a holistic approach, fashioning remedies to treat a whole person rather than merely its ailing parts. It includes acupuncture, herbology, nutritional counselling, tuina (acupressure and massage) and exercise (tai chi and qi gong). At its centre is the understanding that sickness results from disturbances to the flow of energy in the body, qi (pronounced "chee"), or from a lack of equilibrium between contrasting aspects of yin and yang. |

| | tragerŽ | "Tensions and restrictions in the body may result from injuries, surgery, emotional trauma, stress, or poor posture. These unconscious holding-patterns often result in bodily pain and stiffness. The Trager practitioner facilitates the release of these tensions and restrictions through gentle, non-intrusive, hands-on movements of the body parts, while the client lies comfortably on a padded table. A Trager session is intended to re-educate the body-mind by offering the feeling experiences of relaxation, lightness, mobility and well-being. Practitioners also teach their clients simple self-care movements to do on their own. These simple movements, done with awareness, coined 'Mentastics' by Dr. Trager, can sustain and enhance the feelings attained through the table work." -- Trager Practitioners of Southwestern Ontario. |
